Project Description
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is constructing the Centerm Expansion Project and South Shore Access Project to keep pace with the growing demand for container shipments through the Port of Vancouver. AxisSystems faced several challenges, including ongoing scheduling, access to the site, and safety for multiple teams, as well as cost escalation, change orders, supply chain issues, and storage of installation materials.
To meet the security needs of the project, AxisSystems installed mega-pixel, outdoor-rated CCTV (closed-circuit television) cameras with PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) capabilities, as well as intercom, industrial PC (IPC), and touchscreen installations. All connections were made into Centerm’s closed network for the internal security team to monitor.
Surveillance & Security Systems
Axis Systems installed outdoor-rated and nighttime vision CCTV PTZ cameras. Complemented by a state-of-the-art Command Intercom systems.
Project Management
The team planned, scheduled, coordinated, ensured access control, implemented safety measures, mitigated risks, managed the supply chain, and ensured an on-budget and on-time project.
Onsite Security Team & Tech
AxisSystem supplied all the connections into the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s closed network for the internal security and surveillance team during the Centerm Project.
Pan-Tilt-Zoom Security Cameras
PTZ surveillance cameras feature real-time monitoring, enhanced surveillance, and improved response times, ensuring optimal safety and protection.
